Rupa and the April Fishes’ debut album eXtraOrdinary rendition echoes influences of Argentinean tango, classic French chanson, Gypsy swing, American folk, and Latin cumbias. The album is packaged in a matte-finish digipak complete with a 32-page booklet of song lyrics and a beautiful poster by Mona Caron.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Rupa & the April Fishes create music that defies easy categorization. Their debut album, eXtraOrdinary rendition, echoes with influences of classic French chanson, Argentinean tango, Gypsy swing, American folk, Latin cumbias, and even hints of Indian ragas. With their progressive blend of international flavors with a youthful alternative rock energy, the trend-setting band is spearheading a multicultural movement that is redefining the sound of contemporary music. Shades of Manu Chao, Lhasa, Pink Martini, Gogol Bordello and more can be heard in their appealing, polyglot sound.
Bombino's electrifying jams capture the spirit of resistance and rebellion while echoing with guitar riffs reminiscent of fellow Africans Tinariwen and Ali Farka Touré as well as Jimi Hendrix. Rupa & The April Fishes
Formed in West African refugee camps, Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars have risen like a phoenix from the ashes of destruction to create this infectious and celebratory new record. Rupa & The April Fishes

Snowmelt is an absolutely gorgeous album. Zoe Keating's music is beautiful, and is absolutely worth listening to. It was hard to choose a favorite from such beautiful songs, but Nix was my favorite by just a tiny little bit.
Thank you for putting out such beautiful music for us to listen to. Kamani
